About the role

Provides direct patient care in collaboration with specific physicians to a selected group of patients. The ARNP is an advanced practice nurse, clinically expert in patient care, who can provide a high standard of care to all patients, following an established protocol with a physician(s).

Responsibilities

• Medical diagnosis, treatment, prescription, teaching and mentoring new members of the health care team.
• Perform a patient assessment to include medical history and physical exam and develop an appropriate plan of care in the direct management of patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
• Work directly with staff, administration, patients and families to ensure quality care across the continuum.
• Integrate evidence-based practice and technological advances into scope of practice.
• Participate in the collection of research data, quality improvement, discharge planning and coordination of patient care within the area of practice.

Qualifications

• Master Science Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
• 5 years acute care nursing experience.

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $72.00 / hour depending on shift as applicable.
