Responsibilities

  • Uses the nursing process to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
  • Administers and charts medications as directed by physicians, ensuring clear communication with patients and companions.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in designated skills relevant to the medical/surgical unit.
  • Maintains and evaluates clinical expertise, participates in CQI training, and conducts quality review audits.
  • Maintains flexibility in scheduling and job assignments to meet patient needs.
  • Fosters a positive hospital environment through respectful interactions and teamwork.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and participates in shared leadership activities.
  • Utilizes individual goals and quality models to measure and report on performance improvements.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience required.
  • Three years of orthopedic, medical/surgical, or ICU experience preferred.
  • Current RN license in Arizona required.
  • Certification in BLS and ACLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
