Responsibilities
- Uses the nursing process to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
- Administers and charts medications as directed by physicians, ensuring clear communication with patients and companions.
- Demonstrates proficiency in designated skills relevant to the medical/surgical unit.
- Maintains and evaluates clinical expertise, participates in CQI training, and conducts quality review audits.
- Maintains flexibility in scheduling and job assignments to meet patient needs.
- Fosters a positive hospital environment through respectful interactions and teamwork.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and participates in shared leadership activities.
- Utilizes individual goals and quality models to measure and report on performance improvements.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience required.
- Three years of orthopedic, medical/surgical, or ICU experience preferred.
- Current RN license in Arizona required.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
