POOL MONITOR

Responsibilities

• Aid in the operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the pool, deck area, restrooms, and adjacent areas.
• Open and close the pool facility according to the scheduled start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all pool rules, policies, and procedures, and restrict access to the pool to community residents only.
• Perform routine maintenance and service on the pool, adjacent facilities, and equipment, including:
• Checking chlorine levels at the edge of the pool and adjusting as needed.
• Filling the chlorinator tank.
• Vacuuming the pool.
• Backwashing the filter daily.
• Cleaning restrooms, including toilets, showers, floors, and sinks.
• Cleaning the deck, towels, cigarette butts, paper, and other debris.
• Filling the baby pool, if necessary, and hosing off the deck area.
• Checking pH and chlorine levels in both pools. Add chlorine if necessary, but do not add acid.
• Picking up litter around the pool area.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability or experience in pool maintenance is desirable.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
