About the Role
Responsible for accurate and timely handling of issuing policies and processing endorsements. Support Underwriting and Brokerage teams. Maintain the integrity of clients’ electronic files.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, knowledgeable service of requested policy transactions through multiple programs.
- Review binders, rate sheets, and applications against policies to ensure accuracy.
- Add surplus lines information/documentation to policies.
- Ensure state surplus lines requirements are met before releasing the policy to the agent.
- Update status in company system to reflect policy mailed out.
- Email required carrier documentation after policy is issued.
- File all policy documentation electronically. Ensure filing is in accordance with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.
- Review reports and confirm policy issuance remains compliant and within guidelines.
- Correspond directly with underwriting and brokerage account team. Includes transactions with discrepancies, missing documentation, or items that require clarification.
- Respond to internal requests for information, documents, and general policy inquiries.
- Meet or exceed individual daily processing requirements and monthly accuracy goals.
Requirements
- 3 years or more of insurance experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Knowledge of AIM/ImageRight preferred.
Skills
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload while meeting deadlines.
- Must demonstrate an aptitude to obtain knowledge of the insurance contracts and coverages being underwritten in the department.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
