About the role
The City of Elk Grove is seeking a Police Records Technician I/II to join their dedicated team. This position offers a salary range of $50,001 - $67,019 annually for Police Records Technician I and $55,253 - $74,060 annually for Police Records Technician II.
Responsibilities
- Process and maintain records related to police investigations, including reports, evidence, and other documentation.
- Manage and update databases containing criminal history information, vehicle registration details, and other relevant data.
- Respond to requests for information from law enforcement agencies, courts, and the public.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all records and information processed.
- Collaborate with other departments within the Police Department to support ongoing operations and initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a records management or administrative support role.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid California driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of computerized record systems and databases.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Skills
