About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and professional Poker Dealer to join our team. The ideal candidate will deal poker games efficiently and accurately while maintaining a friendly and engaging atmosphere. The Poker Dealer ensures fair play, enforces house rules, and provides excellent customer service to all players.

Responsibilities

  • Deal Poker Games with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage the flow of live poker games.
  • Visually and manually handle cards, chips, and game equipment in accordance with gaming regulations.
  • Perform basic mathematical and money handling tasks, including accurately counting, collecting, and distributing chips and pots.
  • Monitor wagers and payouts while maintaining concentration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide consistent and professional guest service, communicating clearly and respectfully with players and team members.
  • Perform brush and floor duties, including:
    • Greeting, seating, and directing players.
    • Managing player waitlists and table assignments.
    • Monitoring and maintaining game integrity.
    • Observing player behavior and gameplay for accuracy and fairness.
    • Reporting irregularities, disputes, or suspicious activity to supervisors as needed.
  • Use required tools and equipment, including operating shuffle machines, chip racks, and table accessories.
  • Adhere to gaming regulations and internal policies, following all house rules, gaming laws, and responsible gaming practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring table areas are neat and properly stocked.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Non-Essential Functions

  • Assist with general room cleaning (e.g., wiping tables, organizing chairs).
  • Train or mentor new dealers (unless assigned formally).
  • Participate in promotional events or tournaments not part of regular shifts.
  • Engage in customer service beyond gaming duties (e.g., escorting players, answering general casino inquiries).
  • File incident reports or assist with non-routine paperwork.
  • Handle emergency evacuation procedures beyond normal expectations.
  • Move or rearrange furniture or heavy fixtures (except chips or shuffle machine).
  • Act as a floor supervisor or manager (unless cross-trained and scheduled for that role).

Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or delegated by Management to meet the business needs of the property.
