Poker Dealer (Horseshoe Bossier) Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Proactively anticipates customer needs.
• Familiarizes themselves with all guests’ names and personal facts.
• Studies other games and services offered at property.
• Adheres to department policies and procedures, including those pertaining to Federal and Regulatory laws and guidelines.
• Handles money and provides accurate and appropriate chips for guests.
• Routinely strives to build and achieve customer satisfaction.
• Identifies communications of special promotions to customers.
• Collaborates with Casino Operations supervisor and Security to detect and prevent cheating and identify floor irregularities.
• Acts as a role model and encourages others to do the same.
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 6 months dealing experience is required and/or successful completion of dealer school or program at an accredited institution.
• Must be able to obtain Non-Key LA Gaming License and Responsible Vendor Certification.
• Knowledge of card games.
• Strong money handling and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Table Games.
• Ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team across departments and levels of management.
• An upbeat personality for all interactions with guests and fellow Team Members.
• A well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to acknowledge, greet, and converse in English with customers.
• Ability to operate various Pit equipment such as typewriters, computers, telephones, ten key adding machines, calculators, photocopy machines, and fax machines.
• Manual dexterity to handle paperwork and operate Pit equipment.
• Ability to work inside and continuously maneuver around Pit area and throughout the hotel/casino property.
• Tolerance for areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and in a stressful environment.
• Willingness to work any day of the week and any shift.
