Job Summary
Responsible for providing a memorable table games experience for guests while protecting the assets and following the Indiana Gaming Commission regulations, internal controls and standard operating procedures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate a particular table game.
- Inspect and shuffle decks of cards in a timely manner or operate an automatic shuffling device.
- Be proficient at shuffling and pitching cards.
- Audibly announce all hand totals, currency conversions to gaming chips, color changes, and other pertinent information.
- Maintain and protect the bankroll at all times.
- Handle gaming chips in a proficient manner.
- Follow regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties.
- Provide quality customer service to all guests.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, training manuals, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write basic correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical theory.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Frequent standing (80% of the time).
- Sometimes sitting.
- Sometimes lifting and moving up to thirty (30) lbs independently and more than 30 lbs with assistance.
- Close and distance vision, color and depth perception, and peripheral vision.
