Experienced Poker Dealer - Part Time

Job Summary

Responsible for providing a memorable table games experience for guests while protecting the assets and following the Indiana Gaming Commission regulations, internal controls and standard operating procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate a particular table game.
• Inspect and shuffle decks of cards in a timely manner or operate an automatic shuffling device.
• Be proficient at shuffling and pitching cards.
• Audibly announce all hand totals, currency conversions to gaming chips, color changes, and other pertinent information.
• Maintain and protect the bankroll at all times.
• Handle gaming chips in a proficient manner.
• Follow regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties.
• Provide quality customer service to all guests.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, training manuals, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write basic correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical theory.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing (80% of the time).
• Sometimes sitting.
• Sometimes lifting and moving up to thirty (30) lbs independently and more than 30 lbs with assistance.
• Close and distance vision, color and depth perception, and peripheral vision.
