About the role
The Poker Dealer is responsible for facilitating poker games by dealing cards, managing the pot, and enforcing game rules. This role requires strong knowledge of poker variations, excellent customer service, and effective communication skills to ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Deal poker games in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Greet guests at poker tables, provide information about the game, and answer questions regarding procedures.
- Collect rake at the end of each bet and upon completion of the game, ensuring accuracy and proper drop procedures.
- Maintain integrity of the game and create an engaging, professional atmosphere for players.
- Maintain working knowledge of company policies, internal controls, and gaming regulations.
- Provide exceptional guest service and uphold Caesars' standards of professionalism and hospitality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have knowledge and experience dealing poker at a licensed venue.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Virginia Lottery Gaming License.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned area.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Ability to respond to visual and auditory cues.
- Ability to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
Pay
$16.00 an hour
