About the role
This position will primarily be working in participant's home performing homecare tasks including support with ADL's and general homemaking.
Responsibilities
- Implements and facilitates group activities
- Provides bathroom, transfer, mealtime and ambulation assistance to all participants
- Aids in noontime meal preparation and clean up
- Communicates with team members, participants, rehab professionals and families
- Works in the Day Center when needed
Requirements
- Current BLS and First Aid certification
- Current food handlers permit
- One (1) year experience in health care setting working with the elderly
Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of home healthcare procedures and regulations
