Responsibilities

• Perform personal care and home making services for clients in the community.
• Adhere to written and oral instructions prepared by primary nurse.
• Perform all aspects of personal care and hygiene to patients according to Hope Hospice Policy and Procedures.
• Utilize knowledge of proper and safe techniques, re: ambulation, transfer, positioning, and ROM, Standard precautions.
• Guide caregivers and families regarding the safe and comfortable personal care of the patient, inclusive of ADL’s, mobility, and environment.
• Absorb and assist families of patients as needed.
• Document care and services, observations, and interventions to primary nurse, managers, and IDG.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate of completion of a qualified Certified Nurse Assistant training program.
• Current Florida Certified Nursing License.
• Successfully complete a competency evaluation program before furnishing services to patients.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid Florida Drivers' License with a good record.
• Automobile Insurance.
• Clear level 2 background check.
• Active BLS for healthcare professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Certification of completion of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Training through the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.

Pay

This position pays $16.96 - $25.24 per hour.
