PNP - Pediatrics - Detroit Lakes, MN

About the role

The Nurse Practitioner will utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working independently and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. They will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child checkups and immunizations, sports physicals, and adolescent health programs.
• Collaborates with a team of ten (10) Family Medicine providers and one PNP to deliver primary care services in a team-based setting.
• Works within a schedule of 16-18 patients per day, with minimal procedures and occasional weekend coverage.
• Participates in outreach clinics in Frazee, Lake Park, Pelican Rapids, and Mahnomen, covering CME, vacations, and other demands.
• Establishes and enhances positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others through high customer service skills.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Pediatric trained and certified through PNCB or ANCC (PPCNP-BC).
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the appropriate state.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• CPR certification required, with PALS certification preferred.

Pay

$58.10 - $81.34 / hour FTE.
