Pediatric Critical Care - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) / Physician Assistant (PA)

Responsibilities

• Patient care in the Pediatric Cardiac Care Center
• Clinical evaluation and management of critically ill pediatric patients
• Development and implementation of treatment plans
• Performance of procedures under supervision
• Multidisciplinary rounds participation
• Care coordination
• Academic contributions by participating in education of APP students, residents, and fellows
• Quality improvement initiatives and committee involvement

Requirements

• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification
• 1–2 years of relevant pediatric critical care or acute care experience preferred

Qualifications

• Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, active New York State Registered Nurse license, active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure, and current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner for NPs
• Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, active New York State Physician Assistant licensure, and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) for PAs

Pay

Range: $98,010.00 - $137,218.00

Rotating 13-hour shifts with days, nights, weekends, and holidays
