Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – PNP – (.8 FTE)
About the role
The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will join Emplify Health by Gundersen's established outpatient general pediatrics team in Onalaska, WI. The position is part-time and will work alongside 5 Pediatricians and 4 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners at the Onalaska clinic, and 5 Pediatricians and 4 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners at the La Crosse clinic.
Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric care in a medical home setting
- Offer both well and acute care as well as chronic medical problem management
- Opportunity to precept PNP students
- Monthly journal club and radiology rounds as well as PNP meeting and section head meetings
- Rotates through weekend newborn clinic and Holiday weekends (approximately 3-4 weekend mornings per year)
- No call required
- Care team includes an integrated behavioral health therapist, lactation consultants, pediatric RNs, pediatric medical assistants, integrated psychiatry, integrated occupational therapy and on-site social work
Requirements
You must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in the multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician. Clinician staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all clinicians.
