PM Nurse Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Supervisor to join our team at ALIYA of Oak Lawn, a premier long-term care facility in Oak Lawn, Illinois. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the care of our residents on assigned units, ensuring high-quality care and service. Duties and Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care on assigned unit
• Ensure complete and prompt reporting of incidents to Administrator and Director of Nursing
• Actively participate in committee/programs as directed by Director of Nursing
• Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning possible
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health/status of residents
• Make daily rounds on unit to ensure resident care needs and environmental standards are met
• Review clinical records for completeness and accuracy as necessary
• Monitor, track, evaluate, and report infections
• Act as a resource for nursing staff
• Identify and provide orientation and continuing education for unit staff members
• Attend and actively participate in nursing supervisory meetings
• Lead a care team to ensure high-quality care and service

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing plus 5–7 years of experience as a long-term care nurse, with a minimum of two years supervisory experience in acute, sub-acute, or long-term care
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
• Proficient in the use of computer and programs utilized by the facility
• Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
