About the role

Plans, organizes, controls, supervises, administers and completes, directs and coordinates through subordinates and supervisors necessary work to ensure competent installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing and related equipment and systems at all institutions and facilities throughout the state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, operation and maintenance of plumbing and sewage disposal systems.
• Review and approve requisitions and prepare specifications for materials and/or replacement as needed.
• Repair and replace all underground piping, chill water, hot water heating and water mains and sewer to include ductile, carbon steel, PVC and C900 piping.
• Pipe weld and fit pipe.
• Perform general construction plumbing to include roughing, setting fixtures and minor plumbing repairs.
• Successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Requirements

• A high school diploma.
