Platform HR Director – HVAC/R Solutions Platform
Role Summary
The Platform HR Director serves as the senior HR business leader for the HVAC/R Solutions Platform, partnering closely with the Platform President and company leadership teams to enable growth, build organizational capability, and strengthen leadership effectiveness across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership & Platform Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Platform President and operating company leaders on organizational design, leadership capability, succession planning, and culture.
- Foster a culture consistent with organizational values, leadership expectations, and performance standards.
- Translate strategy into actionable people plans that support growth, operational excellence, and talent sustainability.
- Support change management initiatives.Talent, Leadership & Organizational Capability
- Lead platform-wide talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development efforts.
- Develop and improve programs to strengthen leadership pipelines.
- Provide leadership around culture assessment(s), organizational development, and change initiatives related to growth, integration, and transformation.End-to-End HR Operations
- Provide operational HR leadership across employee engagement, performance management, workforce planning, compliance and risk management, etc.
- Oversee effective administration of HR programs such as compensation, benefits, leave practices, performance and talent management, employee relations, recognition, and training.
- Act as player-coach, providing hands-on leadership while enabling strong HR support and service delivery across the platform.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations; collaborate closely with Group and Enterprise HR to ensure policies, practices, and procedures are aligned with internal standards.Navigate and influence within a matrixed environment, partnering with HR Centers of Excellence at the Group and Enterprise level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master’s or MBA, preferred.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with deep functional knowledge of human resources, including but not limited to talent acquisition, talent development, employment law, employee relations, and performance management.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing organizations; prior union experience a plus.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization, collaborating, and influencing without direct authority.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to communicate clearly and with purpose; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong supervisory and leadership capabilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
