Responsibilities
- Promote safety by prioritizing it throughout operations in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Operate plant equipment to regulate material flow to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, or storage bins.
- Start up, batch, and shut down the batch plant daily.
- Inspect equipment, structures, and materials; perform daily maintenance and document repair needs.
- Monitor processes and raw materials to ensure sufficient inventory levels for production.
- Work closely with co-workers and dispatch to batch concrete efficiently and with quality.
- Assist with maintenance and housekeeping activities, including operating plant equipment as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of concrete, cement, or construction industries is preferred.
- Ability to work overtime and extended hours based on customer and company demands.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate loud noises.
- Mechanical skills, including knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

Pay
The hourly range for this role is $24.50 - $39.00, not including discretionary bonuses or equity packages. Compensation is determined based on skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
Schedule
Full-time role with a year-round 30-hour weekly guarantee. Overtime and extended hours may be required based on customer and company demands.
