About the role
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Order Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating customer orders, performing daily plant duties, and serving as a plant contact.
Responsibilities
- Cooking and serving food to customers
- Assisting in the coordination of truck dispatch orders
- Ensuring tickets are verified for numbers, dated, and time accuracy
- Performing daily administrative plant duties as required
- Traveling to various sites to support business needs
- Preparing month-end closing information for Accounting
- Reconciling time cards for all plant personnel
- Serving as a plant contact, receiving guests, answering phones, and handling safety and environmental issues
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field
- Fundamental understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to use computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices
- Appropriate typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Integrity and commitment to company policies

- Compensation: Salaried non-exempt position with a base salary range of $50,000 - $57,000 annually, including the regional supplement
