Pittsburgh Junior Commercial Disputes Associate

At K&L Gates, we are looking for smart, imaginative and hard-working people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and ideas to join our Commercial Disputes practice in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have two to three years of experience with general commercial litigation matters, multi-district litigation, or class actions in state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct legal research
  • Draft substantive pleadings and motions
  • Organize, conduct, and manage the discovery practice, including e-discovery
  • Work closely with experienced lawyers who provide active mentoring
  • Assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to or eligible to sit for the Pennsylvania bar
  • Two to three years of experience with general commercial litigation, multi-district litigation, or class actions
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to providing the highest quality client service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Clerkship experience
  • Journal experience
