Piping Superintendent
Job Summary
You will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff.
Major Responsibilities
- Makes sure subcontractor activities are monitored and organized.
- Coordinates and instructs subcontractor’s management staff within the area of responsibility.
- Serves projects of moderate complexity and few stakeholders involved.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Extensive working knowledge of construction planning, monitoring and control.
- Familiar with construction tools and equipment as well as their uses.
- Extensive technical knowledge and experience in piping operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Experience managing union craft.
- Heavy industrial US direct hire construction experience.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Additional Information
- Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
- Knowledge of Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program.
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
