Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide support to staff attorneys in processing complaints.
- Provide support to the PIP Litigation team in processing PIP arbitration demands.
- Provide support as needed to FNOL (First Notice of Loss) Dept in taking claims.
- Receive, analyze, and process complaints, determine type of lawsuit, and prepare investigation file accordingly.
- Assign trail adjuster, submit complaint to staff attorney for review.
- Process various types of legal letters to defense firms and insureds.
- Maintain Legal Exchange (electronic billing site) by creating matters, closing matter and processing attorney invoices for payment.
- Periodic telephone communications with insureds, plaintiff counsel and defense firms regarding the status of legal pleadings.
- Update Claim Center to reflect all litigation information.
- Process incoming mail and import in to Claim Center for further review.
- Review the investigation file material, select appropriate document information, and electronically send to defense firms.
- Obtain additional underwriting documentation such as declaration sheets, policy jackets and police reports.
- Process vendor invoices for payment through Claim Center financial system.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment due to time sensitivity of legal pleadings.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer knowledge and strong data entry skills.
- The ability to manage time and tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Must have good typing skills.
- Strong knowledge/experience of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Skilled in problem solving and as well as decision making.
- Detail oriented as well as the ability to multitask.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Pay
Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials. Pay Range: $46,950-$54,546.
