Responsibilities
- NJ PIP/No-Fault Arbitration
- Manage full caseload from initial filing through arbitration
- Draft and submit appeals
- Conduct settlement negotiations
- Appear for remote arbitration hearings
- Collaborate with paralegals for filing and administrative support
- NJ Workers’ Compensation (Medical Provider Claims)
- File matters via NJ eCourts WC Portal (CourtsOnline)
- Appear for virtual hearings
- Review adversary submissions
- Evaluate claims and make settlement offers
- Work with paralegals on appellate matters
- NJ Commercial Arbitrations (Surprise Bill IDRs)
- Analyze and “fee schedule” cases
- Prepare and submit arbitration briefs (largely templated)
- Cook up UCR (Usual, Customary, Reasonable) evidence
- Create fee schedule comparison charts
- Communicate with clients for case input as needed

- NY Commercial Arbitrations (Surprise Bill IDRs)
- Draft arbitration briefs

- Collaborate with paralegals for filings and appeals
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- NJ bar, active and in good standing (required); NY bar (preferred)
- 2+ years of NJ PIP arbitration experience
- Strong working knowledge of the NJ PIP Fee Schedule
- Experience handling arbitration hearings and settlement negotiations
- Work onsite Monday-Friday in our Fairlawn office
