About the role
The Department of Physics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas: Introductory Physics (Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Modern Physics), Upper Division Physics (Analytical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Physics).
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory and upper division physics courses.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
- Assist in curriculum development and assessment.
Requirements
- A Masters/PhD degree in Physics or related field or equivalent experience.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level preferred.
- Relevant performance and professional experience preferred.
- Significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching introductory and upper division physics courses.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective communication with students.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
- Experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
