Physics - Part-Time Lecturer Pool

About the role

The Department of Physics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas: Introductory Physics (Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Modern Physics), Upper Division Physics (Analytical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Physics).

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and upper division physics courses.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
• Assist in curriculum development and assessment.

Requirements

• A Masters/PhD degree in Physics or related field or equivalent experience.
• Prior teaching experience at the university level preferred.
• Relevant performance and professional experience preferred.
• Significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching introductory and upper division physics courses.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective communication with students.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
• Experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
