Part Time Instructor Pool - Physics

About the Role
As a part-time instructor in the Physics pool, you will support the visions, missions, and values of Grossmont College, Cuyamaca College, and the District. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student evaluation, curriculum development, student advising, professional development, and fulfilling assignment-specific needs. Positions are filled on an as-needed basis, with applications kept active in the pool for one year.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom instruction in physics or related subjects.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Develop and update curriculum as needed.
- Advise students on academic and career-related matters.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Fulfill additional duties specific to the assignment.
Requirements
- Master’s in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics, or
- Bachelor’s in physics or astronomy and Master’s in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics, or
- The equivalent (equivalency materials must be submitted if applicable).
Faculty positions may require long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting.
Pay
Starting salary range: $70.84 - $86.11 per hour (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1) based on the Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule.
