About the role
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at California State University, San Bernardino is seeking part-time lecturer applications from a diverse group of qualified individuals for both our San Bernardino Campus (SBC) as well as our Palm Desert Campus (PDC).
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in Physics, astronomy or materials science.
- Work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- Bring relevant work experience and demonstrate ability to foster a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Earned Master’s degrees in physics, astronomy, material science or related area are required.
- In the case of teaching laboratory classes, a specialized certification may be acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued.
- Evidence of exemplary undergraduate- and/or graduate level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.
