Physician Office Coordinator
About the Role
Schedules patients for clinic-based procedures, coordinating with relevant departments. Registers patients and performs benefit eligibility verification applicable for patient visits. Completes authorization and pre-certification related to patient procedures. Serves as a liaison with insurance companies to submit accurate information needed for approval. Relays instructions and preparation details for procedures to patients. Coordinates equipment and medications needed for procedures. Acts as a liaison with vendors to ensure equipment and vendor presence when needed. Oversees training needed for procedures and ensures appropriate cleaning and maintenance of all equipment. Assists in patient procedures and oversees timely billing of procedures. Orders and maintains supplies for the department within budget guidelines. Oversees clinic-based procedure operations, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.

Qualifications
- High school graduate (required)
- Associate's degree (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 2+ years office experience (required)
- Medical office scheduling and authorization experience (preferred)
Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (required)
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills by effectively communicating with all levels of management, outside vendors, and medical office staff (required)
- Strong emphasis on organizational skills and strong attention to detail (required)
- Ability and willingness to multitask (required)
- Ability to handle data that is sensitive or confidential in nature (required)
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment (required)
