Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) to join our community-based hospital in New York City. This role provides a balanced mix of outpatient care and operative gynecology, serving a highly diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including routine exams, prenatal care, and preventive services
- Perform a full scope of gynecologic surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and open techniques
- Manage labor and delivery, including on-call responsibilities as required
- Deliver patient-centered care that reflects cultural sensitivity and addresses health disparities within the community
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including midwives, nurses, and subspecialists
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support best practices in women’s health
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active or eligible for medical licensure in New York State
- Demonstrated experience in both outpatient and operative OB/GYN care
- Strong commitment to community-based practice and caring for diverse populations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in minimally invasive surgical techniques
- Multilingual skills (Spanish or other languages strongly preferred)
