About the role
The Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency is actively recruiting for a Physician OB/GYN to join their team of health care professionals. The agency operates two Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike clinics in Visalia and Farmersville, focusing on providing obstetrics and gynecological services to underserved populations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clinic records and prepare reports.
- May refer patients requiring special diagnostic procedures or treatments to appropriate sources.
- Admit patients to area hospitals and coordinate with other physicians as necessary.
- Act as supervising physician for mid-level providers and interns.
Requirements
- Graduation from a medical school approved by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance of the State of California.
- One year of experience as an intern at a hospital approved by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance of the State of California; completion of a residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology from a program approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
- Possession of a valid Physician's and Surgeon's license issued by the State of California. Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain an appropriate, valid California driver's license.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain a supervising physician certificate from the California Medical Board within a time frame required by the Director of Health Services.
- Possession of admitting privileges at a local hospital or hospitals as determined by the Health Services Director.
