Physician - Nocturnist Hospitalist, St. Dominic Hospital- Jackson, MS

About the role

This position is a full-time nocturnist role at St. Dominic Hospital, a 571-bed tertiary care facility. The hospital employs approximately 4,000 team members and has a medical staff of nearly 500 physicians.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient as a sacred gift from God, caring for their physical, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) to provide comprehensive hospital medicine services.
• Work in an EMR system (Epic).
• Manage a 300 daily census with an average of 9 admissions per nocturnist.
• Choose from 7 on 7 off or 10 on 10 off scheduling options.
• Participate in a team-based approach to care.
• Offer robust specialty services within the hospital.

Requirements

• MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in hospital medicine preferred.
• Work collaboratively with APCs in the hospital medicine setting.

Qualifications

Must have a current medical license in good standing.
