Physician - Nocturnist Hospitalist

About the role

Pen Bay Hospital is seeking a full-time nocturnist to join their experienced and collaborative team. This is a night-shift position covering the ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient medical care in the ICU setting.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care continuity.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings.
• Assist in the education and training of medical students and residents.

Requirements

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Licensure to practice medicine in the State of Maine.
• Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing and privileges at designated hospital locations.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in critical care settings preferred.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
