About the role

This position is dedicated to admissions, working closely with the Emergency Department. The incumbent will focus solely on admissions with a daily census of 300 patients. The schedule is 6a-6p, closed ICU, and includes a dedicated Nocturnist program. Epic is the electronic medical record system used.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Emergency Department to manage patient admissions
• Manage a daily census of 300 patients
• Follow 6a-6p schedule with closed ICU and dedicated Nocturnist program
• Utilize Epic as the electronic medical record system

Requirements

• MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with 1-2 years of experience preferred
• Experience working collaboratively with Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) in the hospital medicine setting
• Eligible to obtain a Mississippi Medical License
