About the role
Hospitalist (Hospitalist)
This position has been allocated for a board certified or eligible physician.
Responsibilities
- Fulltime Hospitalist (days)
- Physician created schedule allowing time off flexibility
- Average patient census per day is 13-15
- 9 daytime rounders
- This medical facility is a referral center for trauma and emergency services and houses medical surgical units, a 34-bed closed ICU, a 42-bed emergency department, and 8 operating rooms.
Position Highlights
- 1:1 Hospitalist to Nurse Coordinator
- Dedicated nurse coordinator for rounding, interdisciplinary care coordination, discharging patients, family phone call updates, etc.
- Collaborative team approach to patient care
- Monthly team meetings to review best practice
- Clinical council to discuss group needs, policies, barriers
- Strong Medical Directors leadership/support
- Night shifts covered by nocturnist team

What You’ll Bring
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency training Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing/privileging process
- Current BLS Certification is required before the first day of employment
