About the role

VPA is seeking physicians in the Ft. Lauderdale area to join our team. We offer competitive base salary and aggressive quarterly incentive pay with an income potential of $215,000+. Comprehensive benefits include a 401K with match, annual stipend for CME and license/association dues, and UpToDate on tablets and phones. We provide A+ rated malpractice coverage with tail coverage, no nights, no holidays, and minimal call responsibilities. Physicians will see an average of 10 patients per day, with minimal hospital rounds and no nights or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ease the burden for patients who cannot access necessary care in a traditional practice setting due to their health status.
• Provide quality medicine and compassionate care through 24/7 Care Center support.
• Participate in clinically integrated network (CIN), population health management, and value-based healthcare initiatives.
• Implement best practice protocols for conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, CHF, diabetes, and chronic care management.
• Utilize a web-based EHR system with dedicated training and support staff.
• Work closely with a medical assistant and patient care coordinator for additional support.

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

• A current, unrestricted medical license in Florida.
• At least 3 years of experience in primary care.
• Experience with home-based primary care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
