Physician - Department of Radiology, Thoracic Radiologist (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Thoracic Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track are commensurate with academic record and experience. Weekend and holiday coverage is limited and equitably shared among faculty. Traditional in-person, 8am – 5pm coverage Monday – Friday for both part-time and full-time positions; no evening or overnight call responsibilities.

Department Overview
The Ohio State University Department of Radiology is experiencing significant growth across its research, education, and clinical missions, positioning it as a national leader in imaging innovation and care delivery. The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) serves as a cornerstone of this advancement, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to accelerate translational research in MRI, CT, and PET imaging. The department is expanding its focus on artificial intelligence, theranostics, and advanced imaging technologies, supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure and collaborative team science.
The Division of Thoracic Imaging focuses on all aspects of thoracic imaging, particularly oncology, interstitial lung disease, and in-patient critical care. Faculty are supported by substantial resources in imaging technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and health services research.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care related to the Thoracic Imaging Service.
- Contribute to clinical and imaging operations of the Thoracic Imaging Division.
- Conduct and provide clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and educational offerings within OSUWMC and at regional/national levels.
- Collaborate with faculty and leadership to develop and refine training opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Serve as a mentor and sponsor for residents, fellows, and faculty.
- Support clinical and translational research activities and innovation; may serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials.
- Serve on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent research and innovation interests.
- Interpret plain film radiography and CT; no cardiac or aortic CTA responsibilities.
Requirements
- M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent.
- Board eligible or board certified in Radiology (ABR, ABOR).
- Completion of subspecialty fellowship in Thoracic Imaging by time of appointment.
- Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.
