Physician - Department of Radiology, Thoracic Radiologist (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Position Overview

The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center seeks a Thoracic Radiologist to join the Department. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience.

We are currently interviewing candidates for all shifts and remote/hybrid opportunities are available for the right candidate. Weekend and holiday coverage is limited and equitably shared among faculty.

Traditional in-person, 8am – 5pm coverage Monday – Friday for both part-time and full-time positions, No evening or overnight call responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plain film radiography and CT interpretation. No cardiac or Aortic CTA responsibilities.
  • Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Thoracic Imaging Division of the Department of Radiology:
    • Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Thoracic Service.
    • Contributes to clinical and imaging operations as related to the Thoracic Service.
  • Education, Training, and Faculty Development:
    • Credits and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.
    • Collaborates with faculty and leadership in the Division to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities.
    • Serves as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.
  • Research and Scholarship:
    • Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation.
    • May serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials.
    • Serves on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent the research and innovation interests of the Department, as appropriate.

    Requirements

    • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
    • Board eligible or board certified in Radiology (ABR, ABOR)
    • Completion of Subspecialty fellowship in Thoracic Imaging by time of appointment
    • Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
    • Must support and embrace the diverse and inclusive culture of College of Medicine, the Medical Center, and the University
