Physician - Department of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine Physician/Nuclear Radiologist(Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Position Overview

The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center seeks a Nuclear Medicine Physician/Nuclear Radiologist to join the department. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience.

Department/Division Overview

The Ohio State University Department of Radiology is experiencing significant growth in research, education, and clinical missions, positioning it as a national leader in imaging innovation and care delivery. The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) brings together multidisciplinary teams to accelerate translational research in MRI, CT, and PET imaging, with a focus on artificial intelligence, theranostics, and advanced imaging technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daytime primary coverage of imaging and therapeutic services with home call split between faculty members from 5 pm to 8pm Tu-Mo and backup support to resident coverage from 8pm to 8am
• Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Nuclear Medicine Division of the Department of Radiology
• Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Nuclear Medicine Service
• Contributes to clinical and imaging operations as related to the Nuclear Medicine Service
• Education, Training, and Faculty Development:
• Clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level
• Collaborates with faculty and leadership in the Division to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities
• Serves as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department
• Research and Scholarship:
• Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation
• May serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials
• Serves on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent the research and innovation interests of the Department, as appropriate

Requirements

• M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
• Board eligible or certified in Nuclear Medicine, or Radiology with subspecialty certification (ABNM, ABR, AOBR)
• Completion of Subspecialty fellowship in Nuclear Medicine if no Nuclear Medicine residency by time of appointment
• Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
