The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for faculty positions in Musculoskeletal imaging who are passionate about collaborative, patient-centered clinical excellence, dedicated to advancing research and innovation, committed to education, and inspire inclusivity. The responsibilities of this full-time position include patient care, research, and training graduate and postgraduate students. The schedule involves a mix of day shift (7am – 4pm) and evening shift (12pm – 8am) responsibilities, with weekend call coverage approximately 1 in 7.

Department Overview

The Ohio State University Department of Radiology is experiencing significant growth across its research, education, and clinical missions, positioning it as a national leader in imaging innovation and care delivery. The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) serves as a cornerstone of this advancement, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to accelerate translational research in MRI, CT, and PET imaging. The department is expanding its focus on artificial intelligence—supported by Ohio State’s designation as an ACR Recognized Center for Healthcare-AI (ARCH-AI)—as well as theranostics and advanced imaging technologies. Ongoing renovations support state-of-the-art infrastructure and collaborative team science.

The Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging focuses on all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging, including musculoskeletal-related interventional procedures such as joint injection, joint aspiration, and percutaneous biopsy. Faculty are supported by substantial resources in imaging technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and health services research.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Musculoskeletal Radiology Service.
• Contributes to clinical and imaging operations of the Musculoskeletal Radiology Service.
• Conducts and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings within OSUWMC and at regional and national levels.
• Collaborates with faculty and leadership to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities.
• Serves as a mentor and sponsor for residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.
• Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation; may serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials.
• Serves on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent the research and innovation interests of the Department.

Requirements

• M.D., D.O, or foreign equivalent.
• Board eligible or board certified in Radiology (ABR, ABOR).
• Completion of subspecialty fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging by time of appointment.
• Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.
