We are a Tribal health care organization serving nearly 30,000 people across rural southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.
About the Role
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA, NP) will contribute to the mission of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC), “Working Together to Achieve Excellent Health.”
Possible work sites include Aniak, St. Mary's, Emmonak, Hooper Bay, and Toksook Bay, Alaska.
Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Training Program and maintained certification
- Two years minimum suggested experience level
- Experience with reading radiographs and dispensing medication
- Alaska License and DEA license
- Current on CME requirements
- Computer skills needed to access computerized medical records
- Skills and knowledge to practice medicine in the area of their specialty
- Ability to supervise and mentor NP, PA students and oversee community Health Aide clinical practice

Pay
Minimum hourly pay: $78.00
Schedule
- Full-time, 80 hours per pay period (40 hours per week)
- Exempt status
