About the Role

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA, NP) will contribute to the mission of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC), “Working Together to Achieve Excellent Health.” YKHC serves nearly 30,000 people across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations ranging from about 10 to over 1,000. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of communities in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region.

Possible work sites include Aniak, St. Mary's, Emmonak, Hooper Bay, and Toksook Bay, Alaska.

Responsibilities

• Practice medicine within your specialty area.
• Read radiographs and dispense medication.
• Access and utilize computerized medical records.
• Supervise and mentor NP, PA students, and oversee community Health Aide clinical practice.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Training Program with maintained certification.
• Alaska state license and DEA license.
• Current on Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements.
• Minimum of two years of experience.
• Proficiency in computer skills for medical record access.

Pay

Minimum hourly pay: $78.00.

Schedule

• Full-time position (80 hours per pay period).
• 40 hours per week.
