Physical Therapy Assistant - PTA - License Required

About the role

Provide in-home physical therapy services to clients, primarily former Nuclear Weapons Workers with chronic or terminal illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly in-home visits and deliver physical therapy services following physician’s care plans.
• Document all services and client progress.
• Report changes or concerns promptly.
• Participate in interdisciplinary activities and attend care conferences.
• Promote referrals and engage in continuing education.
• Ensure safety, maintain confidentiality, and comply with agency policies, standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant or eligibility to take the exam.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• At least six months of PTA experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• Licensed driver with a clean driving record and appropriate insurance.
