About the role

Premier Rehabilitation is hiring a passionate and driven Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing, PT-owned outpatient orthopedic team. With five Mid-Michigan locations in Holt, Lansing (Frandor), Haslett, Howell, and Grand Ledge, we’re expanding due to growth and strong therapist retention, not turnover.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in providing patient care
  • Perform therapeutic exercises and treatments under supervision
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans using AI-powered ambient documentation
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure understanding of care plans
  • Participate in structured mentorship programs tailored for new grads and early-career PTAs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex patient needs

Requirements

  • Licensed or soon-to-be licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Michigan
  • New graduates encouraged to apply
  • Skilled communicator and critical thinker
  • Passionate about helping people move better, faster, and safer

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background in physical therapy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in orthopedic and post-surgical care, acute and chronic spine conditions, and vestibular/BPPV

Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information
