About the role

Berlin Health & Rehab Center is a resident-centered and quality-focused skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility committed to creating a positive and supportive workplace. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients improve their mobility, independence, and overall functioning.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide physical therapy treatments designed to improve patients' mobility, strength, function, and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs based on each patient's needs and capabilities.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures as directed.
  • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques and exercises under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate relevant observations to the Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative rehabilitation team.
