Physical Therapy Assistant - PRN

About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports physical therapy services by performing delegated procedures under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans and modify procedures based on patient status.
• Document patient progress and ensure safety and dignity for all patients.
• Provide technical guidance to therapy aides.
• Address age-specific needs, particularly for adult and geriatric care.
• Report safety issues promptly.
• Support patient treatment and assist with departmental workload coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Current or temporary state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Preferred 6 months to 1 year of experience with adult and geriatric care.

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and kneeling.
