Role Overview: A Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in home health provides personalized, patient-centered care to help individuals restore mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence in their homes. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.Implement individualized plans of care, assisting with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and assistive devices.Monitor patient progress, document accurately, and communicate with the care team.Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited PTA program and current license or certification.CPR certification required.Preferably 1+ year of experience, especially in home health.Strong communication, time management, and patient engagement skills.Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
