About the Role
The Physical Therapist in Early Intervention provides assessment, treatment, program planning, and documentation for children aged birth to three.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Adapt treatment plans based on child and family needs
- Coordinate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Establish schedules and communicate findings to families and team members
- Develop home and community-based programs
- Mentor students and supervise support staff
- Fabricate adaptive devices and train caregivers
- Review service quality for effectiveness
- Participate in family education initiatives
- Communicate with management regarding caseloads
Requirements
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience working with medically fragile children (preferred for some referrals)
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to individual needs
- Mentorship and supervisory capabilities
