About the role
Provides advanced physical therapy services, including evaluations, treatment planning, and intervention, to individual patients.
Responsibilities
- Conducts assessments and interprets diagnostic results.
- Designs and adjusts treatment plans and ensures coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Educates patients and families about diagnoses, progress, and long-term management.
- Documents assessments, treatments, and discharge plans accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Supervises and mentors Physical Therapy Assistants, Aides, and students, providing feedback and overseeing delegated tasks.
- Participates in team meetings, supports departmental initiatives, and maintains equipment and supplies.
- Supports safety protocols and demonstrates professionalism in communication and behavior.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Licensure from the Board of PT Examiners or PT Compact Commission.
- No prior experience required.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates clinical competency.
- Advanced interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop tailored treatment plans considering patient age, background, and condition.
