Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics/Sports

About the role

This position is for a licensed Physical Therapist responsible for delivering comprehensive physical therapy services across various settings. The role includes conducting screenings, evaluations, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning, while documenting patient progress effectively. The therapist collaborates with healthcare teams, participates in program development, and ensures patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, review patient history, conduct assessments, and communicate findings to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluations, monitor patient progress, consult with other healthcare professionals, and modify care plans as needed.
• Complete discharge planning, follow-up care, and accurate documentation of all patient care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and summaries.
• Manage time efficiently, maintain productivity, and demonstrate flexibility and empathy to provide seamless patient access to care.
• Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor new staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required for the location.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
