Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics / Sports

Role Overview

This position involves providing comprehensive physical therapy services across various settings, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re‑assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. The therapist collaborates with healthcare professionals, participates in program development, and ensures patient‑centered care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations with assessments, interpret findings, and communicate results to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, monitor patient progress, and modify plans as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers.
• Complete discharge planning and follow‑up, ensuring accurate documentation of all patient care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Manage time effectively, maintain a flexible and empathetic approach to patient access, and meet productivity standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, serve as a clinical instructor, and support onboarding and mentoring of staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Licensure required for the specific location (Maryland, DC, or Virginia).
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
