About the Role

As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and develop/update individualized plans of care.
• Provide a variety of direct treatments to patients.
• Consistently meet patient care productivity standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families to promote a positive customer service environment.
• Identify and report patient abuse and neglect (e.g., physical assault, domestic abuse, neglect of elders and children).
• Accurately assess patient functional deficits/dysfunction through medical record review, observation, patient/family input, and physical therapy techniques (manual muscle testing, range of motion, postural analysis, etc.).
• Interpret physician orders accurately.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient goals, progress, and rehabilitation potential.
• Attend patient care meetings (e.g., mini rounds, weekly conferences, NICU discharge meetings).
• Stay current with trends and developments in rehabilitation through continuing education, inservices, and professional publications.
• Terminate treatment appropriately when goals are met, progress plateaus, or treatment is no longer authorized.
• Plan for patient discharge, including referrals to outpatient therapy, home health, or other care levels.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly, adhering to hospital/department policies and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Physical Therapist license in California (required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification (required upon hire).
• Strong age-appropriate competency skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Patient-centered approach to care.

Pay

$63.07 - $74.97 per hour.
